Once the shower is off and the water has drained - did you know that moisture & humidity can remain for HOURS?

That few seconds of squeegeeing the walls & glass or using a towel like Martha does can give your bathroom a big head start at drying out after use.

Other useful bathroom tips from Broward Tile Guys:

- have your husband shower at the gym. That’ll cut moisture down by half.
(Simple math) 🫢

- add a fan - if you’re renovating - ask your builder to add an extraction fan (110-130 CFM*) or update your old one to a more efficient and quieter new one. OR add a small fan to your countertop. (Lynn’s rental has no built-in fans - so he uses this method)

- ventilate WHILE showering to reduce accumulation of steam - cracking the shower window or bathroom door during or after is very helpful (if possible.)

- leave the bathroom door OPEN AFTER showering - this allows your AC to quickly dissipate moisture -

- alcohol in a spray bottle or an after shower spray is helpful -

What tips do you have? Do you like Martha’s idea? Or is another load of towels every week a total bummer?

*CFM refers to the total volume of air a fan can push over one minute. Cubic Feet per Minute. 110 cubic feet per minute is a LOT of steam extraction. 130 is even more air moving out. ^The size of the EXIT pipe (duct) governs how LOUD the fan is perceived by us - a 4” duct produces a slightly louder fan than a 6” duct. Sound rating of extraction fans is always stated in SONES. The quietest fans produce 1 sone or less.
